Anastasia participated in the “Functional Inorganic Materials” section with the report “Topological analysis of phase transitions in the HF-V system”, in which she spoke about the study of the transformation of Vanadium substructures during phase crossings using a topological approach. The study opens up opportunities for modeling new structures of intermetallic compounds. Anastasia's report was awarded with the diploma as the best among the oral speeches of young scientists.
The symposium is a continuation of the cycle of conferences on the material science "Chemistry of solid body: nanomaterials, nanotechnology", which were carried out on the basis of the North Caucasus State Technical University, in an updated format with an extended spectrum of problems under consideration. Among the topics discussed, the synthesis and the properties of functional inorganic materials and optical materials, new approaches to the study of physicochemical properties and the practical application of inorganic compounds were stated.
“The international symposium has provided the opportunity to hear the reports of leading scientists in the field of chemistry and physics,” comments Anastasia Afanasyeva. – Young scientists from different regions, with whom we will continue to cooperate, also performed. Of great interest was the work on forecasting and computer modeling, implemented in our center and at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Samara Polytechnic University.”
