Director of the SCTMS, Prof. Vladislav Blatov became a laureate of the Shaanxi Province (China) Prize in Science and Technology in 2024. The international part of the prize (International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of Shaanxi Province) is awarded annually to no more than two foreign specialists.The nominees for the prize may be specialists who have made a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation between universities and enterprises of Shaanxi Province.
Prof. Vladislav Blatov has been cooperating with Chinese research groups since 2012.
“During this time, 30 scientific articles have been published in collaboration with colleagues from 12 universities in various regions of China, four schools for young scientists have been held,” comments Professor V.A. Blatov. – “The closest cooperation has been established with the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU, Xi’an, the capital of Shanxi Province), where I have been working as a visiting professor since 2017. It was this university that nominated me for the international award. Polytechnical university of Samara signed an agreement on cooperation and academic exchange with NWPU, and I hope that Chinese students and young scientists will participate in our research here in Samara, and our students will be able to do an internship at NWPU. This award should certainly serve to further strengthen Russian-Chinese scientific cooperation, including between our universities.”
