20231004-01The article “Record Complexity in the Polycatenation of Three Porous Hydrogen-Bonded Organic Frameworks with Stepwise Adsorption Behaviors”, published in March 2020 in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, received recognition in the scientific community and became one of the most cited articles of 2020-2021.

At the moment, the article has been mentioned in various studies more than 100 times.

The article is the result of research work by a team of authors from the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (China) , the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering Foshan University (China), Università degli studi di Milano and Samara Polytechnic University.

The research is devoted to the study of porous hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks with stepwise adsorption behavior. Scientists set out to study the relationship between the structure and properties of organic frameworks, which, under certain self-assembly conditions, form polycatenated networks with record complexity. Materials with such a structure will have a unique adsorption behavior at a certain pressure. It is important that in this case, high chemical stability of the studied organic frameworks with hydrogen bonds is already observed, phase transformations occur and the adsorption of aromatic compounds has been successfully carried out.
