Dr. Artem Kabanov and Yelizaveta Morkhova took part in a seminar on electrochemistry
2 October 2022

20221002-01Employees of SCTMS made oral presentations at the first Russian seminar "Electrochemistry in distributed and nuclear energy". The forum was held in the Elbrus educational and scientific complex of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. Berbekova from 18 to 22 September 2022.

About the seminar in numbers: 90 scientists from all over the country, more than 70 reports and 2 organizers who are representatives of the leading chemical and energy schools of Russia: KBSU (Nalchik) and the Institute of High-Temperature Electrochemistry of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Yekaterinburg). Among the invited guests and speakers are representatives of the State Corporation "Rosatom", the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute", the Institute of Catalysis named after G. Boreskov SB RAS and others.

The reports of the SCTMS staff were devoted to discussing the possibilities of using new materials for energy storage systems.

Dr. Artem Kabanov in his report "Spinels ZnM2O4 (M=Al, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ga, Rh, In) as new materials for metal-ion batteries" spoke about the latest results of a theoretical search for new materials for zinc-ion and lithium-ion batteries.

Yelizaveta Morkhova shared the results related to the study of ionic conductivity in columbite-type structures. The topic of Yelizaveta's report is "Theoretical and experimental study of conductivity in the structures of columbite MNb2O6 (M = Mg, Ca, Zn)".
