20201230-03A new equipment has appeared in the laboratory for the synthesis of new crystalline materials – a thermogravimetric analyzer TGA 2 METTLER TOLEDO (Switzerland).

The equipment was purchased with a grant from the Samara branch of The Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB LPI) and is used under an agreement with the Samara Polytech.

Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is a method for analyzing materials and substances based on continuous recording of the dependence of mass change on time and temperature. It allows you to determine the thermal stability of solid materials and the content of pyrolized components in them. The scope of application includes plastics, elastomers and thermosets, minerals and ceramics, and a wide range of analyzes in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Basing on the results obtained on the TGA 2, the first scientific article is already being prepared for publication.
