Professor Vladislav Blatov took part in the 19th USPEX workshop on November 12th and gave an invited lecture "Topological model of solid-state transformations and generating new crystal structures". The seminar was held from 11 to 13 of November 2020 at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and was organized online for the first time.Prof. Vladislav Blatov devoted his lecture to the new topological models that have been implemented over the past 2 years in the ToposPro software package allowing to quickly and efficiently find new crystalline substances based on their structural and topological relationship with known substances. Combined with quantitative quantum mechanical calculations, these methods significantly accelerate the search for the materials with specified physical properties.
