The Head of the Laboratory for the synthesis of new crystalline materials of the SCTMS Dr. Eugeny Alexandrov gave a poster presentation at the 3rd International Conference on Metal Organic Frameworks and Porous Polymers (EuroMOF), which was held from October 27 to 30 in Paris (France).The EuroMOF conference is held once every two years. The first conference took place in 2015 in Postdam (Germany), the second - in 2017 in Delft (Netherlands). This time, France was the host country, and section meetings were held at the Maison de la Chimie, an international conference center in Paris. The EuroMOF conference was included in a series of scientific events: on October 26, a EuroMOF Young Investigator Symposium was held, and immediately after the conference, on October 31, an industrial workshop „Advanced porous materials for industry: Metal-Organic Frameworks, porous polymers and beyond” was held.
More than 450 researchers in the field of studying metal-organic frameworks and porous polymers from all over the world attended EuroMOF. Among the topics for discussion were synthesis problems (new materials and architectures, carbonized MOFs, synthesis optimization, scale-up, shaping), modeling, advanced characterization techniques, adsorption and separation, catalysis, studying the physical properties of MOF, COF and porous polymers, biological and medicinal aspects application.
Eugeny Alexandrov made a presentation in the poster session “Topological taxonomy and design of networks and entanglements”, in which he presented the results of the creation and use of databases for the topological design of zirconium-organic frameworks and the entanglements of layered and framework coordination polymers of polycarboxylic acids and nitrogen-donor ligands.
