The school grogram included lectures of LOBSTER developers and practical trainings. Forschungszentrum Jülich, one of Europe’s large research centers, a member of the Helmholtz Association hosted the school. Forschungszentrum Jülich with 6,000 employees works in the areas of energy and climate research, bio- and geosciences, medicine and neuroscience, complex systems, simulation science, and nanotechnology. Supercomputer JUQUEEN in Forschungszentrum Jülich operates with a maximum compute performance of 5.9 Petaflop/s.
“I’m sure that new knowledge I obtained during the school will encourage my research work of solids, - Artem says, - in particular, I will be able to analyze chemical bonds using LOBSTER. Besides, I had a meeting with the LOBSTER developers and would consult them if necessary”.
