Pavel Zolotarev took part in the AIC International Crystallography School 2016: "Polymorphism, stability and phase transitions in crystals: theory, experiments, and applications" that was conducted on September 7-11, 2016 in Rimini (Italy).
Young researchers from Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Algeria, Holland, Germany, and France took part in the school. The program included a course of lectures and workshops on crystallography, mechanisms of crystal formation and growth, phase transition theory and polymorphism in crystals.
“I found the lectures of Prof. Gavezzotti the most interesting for me, - says Pavel. – He told the participants about simulation of crystal nucleation processes. The study of nucleation mechanisms is of critical importance for understanding and management of crystallization of various modifications of matter”.
