About 990 European scientists attended the conference. The participants discussed relevant issues of sciences greatly influenced with Crystallography – Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Minerology, etc. Every day of the conference was full of reports and lectures, workshops and sessions. The program also included plenary lectures of the Nobel laureates Prof. Ada Yonath and Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn.
Eugeny Alexandrov presented an oral report «Topological collections and knowledge bases for applications in crystal engineering of coordination compounds». Dr. Alexandrov also made a presentation at tutor’s session where he reported on topological analysis in materials science using ToposPro software package.
Other SCTMS researchers presented their scientific research results at poster session: Tatiana Akhmetshina «Two-shell nanoclusters in intermetallic compounds: beyond the icosahedral core», Elizaveta Timofeeva «Crystallochemical analysis of ion conductivity in K+-oxygen containing inorganic compounds», Andrey Goltsev «The taxonomy of rod-packing coordination networks», Ekaterina Kuzneysova «Selection of most promising hypothetical zeolite frameworks for the synthesis of new zeolites» and Aleksandr Garin «Topological analysis of self-catenated motifs in coordination networks».
