Within cooperation with Freiberg University of Mining and Technology (TUBAF, Germany) the researchers of the Institute of Experimental Physics of TUBAF Dr. Tilmann Leisegang and Falk Meutzner have come to Samara Center for Theoretical Materials Science.
Dr. Leisegang signed the agreement of cooperation with SCTMS half a year ago. Previously, he took part in the International scientific school “Combined Topological and DFT Methods for Prediction of New Materials” which was held by SCTMS last year. In July 2016 the results of joint work of SCTMS and research team of Tilmann Leisegang were presented at the 12th International Symposium on Systems with Fast Ionic Transport (ISSFIT-12, Lithuania).
Mr. Falk Meutzner also took part in the International scientific school “Combined Topological and DFT Methods for Prediction of New Materials”. Research cooperation outcomes of SCTMS researchers and Mr. Meutzner were presented in several joint publications.
During current visit, German colleagues and SCTMS researchers will carry out topological analysis and quantum mechanical simulation of ion-conducting materials, in particular lithium compounds.
