SCTMS Junior Researcher Vladislav Osipov and Laboratory Assistant Maria Smirnova were among 800 graduate students and adjunct professors conducting research within the framework of Russia’s scientific and technological development priorities who were awarded the new Presidential Scholarship.Over 6,000 applications were submitted for the competitive selection process, almost all of which were accepted for peer review. Candidates are nominated by their academic supervisor in consultation with the university’s leadership. The winners will receive monthly payments of 75,000 rubles for the entire duration of their studies.
Maria Smirnova is conducting her research under the supervision of Prof. Vladislav A. Blatov. Vladislav Osipov’s academic supervisor is Dr. Artem Kabanov, a leading researcher in the SCTMS Laboratory of Mathematical Modeling of Materials.
