12 July 2025

20250712-02Dr. Aleksandr Burchakov took part in the VI International Scientific Conference "Modern problems of applied mathematics, computer science and mechanics." The conference was held from June 29 to July 2, 2025 in the Elbrus educational and scientific complex (EESC) of Kabardino-Balkarian State University in Elbrus settlement.

Among the directions of the conference were urgent problems of mathematical and computer modeling in the natural sciences; artificial intelligence and digital technologies in science and education; mathematical methods and models in mechanics, condensed media physics, biomechanics, machinery and technology, and others.

Our researcher introduced the conference participants to the results of the research on the study of the mechanical properties of new porous materials. The study is carried out jointly with Mikhail Smolkov, Mikhail Frolov and Professor Alexander Krutov.

“From the speeches of colleagues from different regions of Russia and abroad, I learned a lot of interesting things,” says Aleksandr. – So, mathematics today is actively developing in accordance with time requests. Artificial intelligence and neural networks have firmly entered the world of scientists. The import substitution of software products has become relevant.

I can say the following about the organization of the conference: the complex is located in the middle of the Caucasian mountains near the largest peak in Russia, Mount Elbrus. Unique nature, pure air, healing water, as well as a warm company of thinkalike scientists, make the time spent there unforgettable.”
