Roman Eremin and Artem Kabanov participated in the International scientific school on the Vienna Ab-initio Simulation Package (VASP) and the International Conference on Advanced Materials Modelling (ICAMM). Both scientific events took place from August 31 to September 7, 2016 in Rennes (France).
The VASP school included a course of lectures and practical trainings, where the participants could put questions directly to the developers of the VASP. Among the school lecturers were Xavier Rocquefelte (Rennes University, France), Florent Boucher (the University of Nantes, France), Kurt Lejaedhere (Ghent University, Belgium), Menno Bokdam, Martijn Marsman, Doris Vogtenhuber (Vienna University, Austria).
At the International Conference on Advanced Materials Modelling (ICAMM) SCTMS researchers presented three poster reports: “SACADA – the database of three periodic carbon allotropes” (А. Kabanov), “Potassium solid electrolytes investigation: ionic conductivity properties by nudged elastic band method” (R. Eremin), “DFT modeling of some perspective materials for K- and Na-based batteries” (А. Kabanov).
